Tuition & Workshops

Drawing the sea, sky & land in charcoal - Private tuition

One to one instruction provides the student technical training with immediate feedback, guidance and the opportunity to observe Nic work. 

Don't worry if you have not begun drawing the landscape, private tuition is available for all levels. A passion to explore and nourish new or existing skills is the only prerequisite for the one2one tuition.

Demonstrations: Exploring the fundamentals of Nic's practice as he develops his recent body of work 'A light In The Valley.'

- Nic shares his experience of working in charcoal, charcoal techniques, keeping a sketchbook, note taking, working from his field studies, reference and how he begins his studio drawings.

About

Nic De Jesus charcoal drawings
 
 

After honing his craft as a Staff Photographer and Art Director for an independent action sports magazine in his hometown of Cape Town, Nic emigrated to London in 2007. He spent the next few years focussed on photography while nourishing his skills as a draughtsman. 

Nic's work is concerned with the sea and land and one's relationship to them. He is currently at work on his collections, Mare Incognitum, Terra Incognitum & A Light In The Valley while teaching the fundamentals of landscape drawing in charcoal and graphite.

His work is in private collections around the world.
